An explosion has occurred in downtown Rangoon, in front of the City Hall and near the popular Bandoola Park at around 10:40 a.m. (local time) on Thursday morning. An eyewitness said one died and at least three people were injured from the explosion, which is believed to have been from a bomb. A restaurant owner near Bandoola Park said he heard the explosion, which occurred at the bus stand in front of the park, and saw at least three injured people. However he could not say whether it was the result of a bomb or not. "I heard a loud explosion, and when I rushed to see, I saw about three people injured," the restaurant owner said. He said police immediately arrived on the scene and cordoned off Maha Bandoola Street in front of the park. However the Kyuaktada Police, when contacted by Mizzima, said, "We heard the loud explosion, but we are not sure whether it was a bomb or not, we are still investigating the incident." |

ရန္ကုန္ျမိဳ့လယ္ ျမိဳ့ေတာ္ခန္းမအေရွ့ ဗႏၶဳလပန္းျခံအနီး ေပါက္ကြဲမႈတခု ျမန္မာစံေတာ္ခ်ိန္ နံနက္ ၁၀း၄၀ နာရီခန္႔က ျဖစ္ပြားခဲ့သည္။ ဗံုးေပါက္ကြဲမႈ ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ယံုၾကည္ရျပီး လူ ၁ ဦးေသဆံုးကာ အနည္းဆံုး ၃ ဦး ဒဏ္ရာ ရရွိသြားေၾကာင္း မ်က္ျမင္သက္ေသ တဦးက ေျပာသည္။ မဟာဗႏၶဳလ ပန္းျခံအနီးရွိ စားေသာက္ဆိုင္ ပိုင္ရွင္တဦးက ေပါက္ကြဲသံတခု ၾကားခဲ့ေၾကာင္းႏွင့္ ပန္းျခံေရွ့ဘက္ ဘတ္စ္ကားမွတ္တိုင္တြင္ ျဖစ္ပြားျခင္းျဖစ္ျပီး အနည္းဆံုး လူ ၄ ဦး ဒဏ္ရာ ရသြားခဲ့သည္ဟု ေျပာသည္။ "ေပါက္ကြဲသံၾကီး ၾကားလိုက္ရတယ္ ျပီးေတာ့ လူေတြတအံုးအံုးနဲ႔ သြားၾကည့္ၾကတာေပါ့။ က်ေနာ္ျမင္တာ ဒဏ္ရာရတဲ့ လူေတြ" ဟု သူက ေျပာသည္။ အခင္း ျဖစ္ပြားရာသို႔ ရဲမ်ား ခ်က္ျခင္းေရာက္ရွိလာျပီး ဗႏၶဳလလမ္းကို ပိတ္ဆို႔လိုက္သည္။ ေက်ာက္တံတား ရဲစခန္းသို႔ မဇၩိမက ဆက္သြယ္ေမးျမန္းရာ "ေပါက္ကြဲသံက်ယ္ၾကီး ၾကားလိုက္ရတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဗံုး ဟုတ္ မဟုတ္ မေသခ်ာဘူး။ စံုစမ္းေနတံုးပဲ" ဟု ေျပာသြားသည္။ |
