KNLA victory news

On 2008, November 11, Battalion 8 under the command of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 3 attacked an army column under the command of SPDC MOC 21 on Saw-mi-lu road in Nyaunglaybin District Mone Township, killing one enemy soldier.

Also on November 29th, KNLA Battalion 8 made a hit-and-run attack on SPDC LIR 351 on Kha-lekho road in Mone Township, killing two men.

On December 2, in the morning, Battalion 18 under the command of KNLA Brigade 6 assaulted a DKBA outpost at Maw-lor-e-pho in Kawkareik Township, killing one DKBA sergeant and one DKBA private. The KNLA troops seized one radio interceptor receiver, one radio transceiver, one walkie-talkie, one telephone exchange switch and one mobile phone from the DKBA camp.

On December 4, in the evening, Corporal Saw Myint Oo and Pvt. Khalayarpor of SPDC LIR 583 surrendered to KNLA Brigade 1 in Thaton District, bringing along one MA-1 automatic rifle, one MA-4 automatic rifle coupled with 40 mm grenade launcher, eight magazines, 195 5.56 mm bullet rounds and eleven M-79 grenades.

On December 6, in the morning, KNLA Battalion 18 ambushed a joint force of DKBA Bo Kyaw Thet's unit and SPDC LIR 548 between Mae-pleh and Panwehpu, killing three SPDC soldiers and wounding six of which three were in grave condition.
