Behind Camp Gates

More than 148,000 refugees from the fighting in Burma huddle in the shelter of 10 camps along the Thai-Burmese border, most of them denied any hope of starting new lives in the outside world or of ever returning to a free homeland. Two writers for The Irrawaddy visited two border camps for a special series. Kyaw Zwa Moe reports first of all from Karenni Refugee Camp-1.
